The Lady Helen restaurant at Mount Juliet Estate has retained its Michelin star award for the 12th consecutive year. A tremendous achievement for Chef John Kelly and his culinary team.

Celebrating the retention of its Michelin star award, Chef John Kelly said, “I am absolutely delighted to retain the Michelin star for the Lady Helen, and to do it for the 12th year, is just fantastic. We have custodian responsibility of the Lady Helen and of its Michelin star. There is a lot of creativity and passion here with the team and being awarded the Michelin star for the 12th year is recognition of that dedication to innovation and the talent of the culinary and service teams here.

“I’m eight years at the helm of the Lady Helen and it’s been wonderful journey that still brings joy. Being allowed the freedom to create and develop our offering is important. This year our sommelier Jean-Baptiste Renault, who is very passionate about his craft, and I, curated a new prestige wine pairing for our guests to enjoy. It’s that evolution of the dining experience whilst staying true to our ethos of honouring the quality of our wonderful ingredients, embracing their simplicity of flavour and treating them well, that makes dining at the Lady Helen a special moment to enjoy.”

The Mount Juliet Estate General Manager Mark Dunne said, “We are just delighted for Chef John Kelly and his team, who are diligent, professional, talented and deserving of this recognition. Dining at the Lady Helen is truly special, from the moment you enter the Manor House, to being seated in the dining room. The welcome is warm, and the menus are exceptional. We have many international guests who visit to enjoy dining at the Lady Helen, itself, a world class offering as recognised by the Michelin star. A deserved accolade for John and his team. We are delighted with the star retention and look forward to welcoming our guests for 2025 and beyond.”
