Gather your little oompa loompas for a Willy Wonka inspired break at Newpark Hotel Kilkenny this Easter.  Their ‘Wonka in Jurassic’ experience at the adjacent Jurassic Newpark attraction is quickly becoming the hottest golden ticket for families over the holidays.  And the best part?  There’s unlimited entry for guests of the hotel during their stay.

It’s not surprising that Newpark Hotel was recently named as Ireland’s top Family Friendly Hotel, as there’s so much on offer.

The ‘Wonka in Jurassic’ experience will take place from Saturday March 23rd to Sunday April 7th, when Willy Wonka takes over the role of Head Ranger at Jurassic Newpark, so expect a truly magical, wacky and eggcellent time!

First up will be a visit to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience where your family will decorate chocolate treats with help from the Easter bunny and expert chocolatier Willy Wonka.

You’ll then spring into a sweet-themed Easter Egg hunt along the outdoor dino trail.  Make sure to watch out for the lifesize moving dinosaurs protecting their eggs!

You might also meet the oompa loompas, who will give you a moral lesson about good and bad behaviour!  And everyone will enjoy free Easter themed face-painting, dinosaur carnival themed fun and games, and Dino Den Theatre talks by the Jurassic Park Rangers where you will meet Paddy the Dinosaur and his baby dinosaur friends.

For extra cuteness, make sure you visit the onsite petting farm for a photo with the adorable Spring lambs and Easter bunnies!

Your little bunnies can also hop along to the enchanted fairy village and trail where you’ll be greeted by ‘Leafy’ the talking tree; you can visit to the adventure playground with zip wire and go kart track; or unearth hidden bones and fossils on a dino dig – just be careful not to disturb any Easter bunny burrows!

There are also some optional added extras, including a hop around Jurassic Bounce, Ireland largest inflatable covered dinosaur park; or a professional family photo with the Easter Bunny. You can also pick up a memento of your visit at the fossil box gift shop.

With all these things to see and do, it really is a ‘place of pure imagination’ for families!
