Radisson RED Galway is currently under construction and is scheduled to open its doors later this year.  The bold new hotel will feature 177 rooms, each reflecting Radisson RED’s vibrant signature style and design which incorporates art, music, and fashion to offer an unforgettable stay to all guests. Radisson RED Galway will be a stylish contemporary haven for guests to explore Galway’s popular attractions brimming with Irish culture, old and new.

Designed by the renowned Henry J. Lyons Architects, as part of the ambitious new Crown Square Development, Radisson RED Galway will be an eight-storey building with impressive views over Galway Bay and the hills of Clare from the rooftop bar and restaurant. Crown Square is a mere 5-minute drive from Galway’s bustling city centre and is the perfect base for guests to discover the city’s historic streets.

For those with business or event needs, Radisson RED Galway will offer more than 400 square metres of meeting and event space on the lower ground floor. The space includes a versatile 300sqm conference space which can be split into two individual meeting rooms, in addition to a 200sqm breakout space which adds the flexibility to cater to numerous event formats.

The overall project which will see 40 million investment is being developed by the Galway based Rhatigan Group and built by the long-established JJ Rhatigan & Company. Rhatigan Group are also responsible for the development of Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin City Centre and the award winning Dublin Royal Convention Centre, a €20m state of the art Convention Centre which opened in the heart of Dublin last year.

Radisson RED Galway is a 5-minute drive from Galway’s main train station, approximately one hour’s drive from Shannon Airport and approximately a 2-hour drive from Dublin city and Dublin Airport. The hotel is conveniently accessible to the motorway to Dublin, Limerick and Sligo. Galway marks the halfway point on the Wild Atlantic Way and is the only city on the entire 2500 km route.

Radisson RED Galway is the first Radisson RED hotel to open in Ireland later this year. The Radisson RED brand has a presence in UK, Berlin, Vienna and Madrid, including the existing multi-award-winning Radisson RED Glasgow and the flagship Radisson RED Liverpool, as well as Radisson RED London Twickenham, which is scheduled to open its doors in 2025 and Radisson RED Edinburgh Airport planned to open in the next couple of years.
