The Killarney Park, an independent family owned five-star hotel and proud member of Leading Hotels of The World will commence a significant renewal and refurbishment programme in late winter 2024 into early spring 2025.

Following on from an initial development investment that included a major renovation of the hotel lobby and public areas and a thrilling new-look for its popular fine-dining restaurant, The Peregrine, The Killarney Park has further committed to a multi-million investment with a series of enhancements that will commence in early November.

With the aim to enrich overall guest experience, the planned works will include a transformational refurbishment of all bedrooms and suites, increasing the current room count from 67 to 74. The hotel grounds will undergo major work including a total redesign and landscaping of the beautiful gardens so hotel views will be greatly amplified.  Other works include the introduction of an intimate new hotel bar, a revamp of The Garden Bar and Terrace and a full redesign of their award-winning Spa.

Commenting on the developments, General Manager, Marcus Treacy said “We are very excited to announce our extensive reinvestment programme which will include an exceptional re-design of our bedrooms and suites. The overall design brief was to create a sense of place reflective of our incredible location and having narrowed it down to two Irish interior architect companies based on their exceptional design ideas, we are delighted to announce that  MDO Architects have been appointed to realise our ambitious vision.  Sustainability is also a key focus for The Killarney Park Hotel and all elements of the re-design and construction will have this philosophy at its core alongside our cherished reputation as the Irish heart of hospitality as we continue to offer our guests the personalised service that we are renowned for”.

The Killarney Park will also be announcing other exciting developments over the coming months once key elements of the design and construction process have been finalised.
