Clayton Charlemont Hotel Joins Forces with Triona McCarthy for Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin

Dublin, 19 November 2020 | The Clayton Hotel Charlemont today announces a partnership with Beauty Editor Triona McCarthy in a bid to raise funds for Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin. Children’s Health Foundation (“CHI”) Crumlin is the new name for CMRF Crumlin, which raises funds to support the vital, life-saving work that takes place every minute of every day in CHI at Crumlin.

In what has been a challenging year for charities, Triona McCarthy, with the help of Clayton Hotel Charlemont, and the wider Dalata Hotel Group, is enlisting her Instagram followers to raise vital funds for sick children in CHI at Crumlin. With anything from a €5 donation to Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin via GoFundMe, Triona’s followers will be entered into a draw to win a weekend break at the stunning newly opened Clayton Hotel Charlemont in Dublin or any of Dalata’s premium 4-star Clayton or Maldron hotels across Ireland. Whether it’s a romantic weekend away or a trip with friends and family, these prizes will allow Triona’s followers to reunite when the time is right!

Dalata’s partnership with The Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin has raised over €1 million since 2016, through the Group’s Dalata Digs Deep initiative, which tasks each individual hotel with a specific fundraising target each year.

About Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin

Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin is part of the Children’s Health Foundation family and exists to raise funds to support the vital, life-saving work that takes place every minute of every day in CHI at Crumlin. Formerly CMRF Crumlin, Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin raises funds with the help and generosity of supporters across Ireland and beyond and provides urgent funding where it is needed most in CHI at Crumlin – from funding essential equipment and patient and parental supports to making new services and ground-breaking paediatric research possible.

Louise McClean, Director of Sales & Marketing for Clayton Hotel Charlemont said: “COVID-19 has been incredibly tough on children, in particular sick children and their families. As well as that, the pandemic has had a severe impact on fundraising initiatives, which serve as essential income for the Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin. We are delighted to partner with Triona on this initiative, which will see our fourth year of fundraising for Crumlin. To date, Dalata has raised over €1 million and we are delighted to continue our support for an extremely worthy cause.”

Triona McCarthy commented on the partnership: “As we near the end of what has been a very difficult year for us all, one positive to take from it is how we have learned to pull together as a nation. 2020 is most certainly a year for giving back, so with this in mind I am joining forces with the Clayton Charlemont and Dalata Hotel Group to raise money for Children’s Health Foundation Crumlin. Not only will my followers be supporting a great cause but they will also be entered to win a weekend break in one of Dalata’s beautiful 4-star hotels!”

Denise Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Children’s Health Foundation added: “We are thrilled and so grateful to be chosen for this fantastic and innovative initiative, which will raise vital funds for sick children in CHI at Crumlin. The funds raised through this exciting partnership will be put to work where they are needed most in CHI at Crumlin – funding vital, life-saving equipment, providing a range of patient and parental supports and making ground-breaking paediatric research possible in the National Children’s Research Centre. On behalf of all of us in Children’s Health Foundation, as well as the staff and families in CHI at Crumlin, thank you so much to Triona McCarthy and Dalata for your kindness to sick children!”
