Sodexo, one of Ireland’s leading on-site services providers, was recognised as a Business All-Star Irish Global Multinational Corporation for 2019-20 by the All-Ireland Business Foundation at the accreditation ceremony in Croke Park, Dublin on Tuesday 12th March 2019. It is an independently verified standard mark for Irish businesses that is based on rigorous selection criteria; performance, trust and customer centricity. Irish businesses that successfully navigate the Foundation’s six-step adjudication process can display the Business All-Star symbol which is presently held by 300 Irish firms.

The judging panel of industry experts is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick and assisted by deputy chair Kieran Ring of the Global Institute of Logistics.

Dr Briga Hynes said, “There has been a dramatic increase in the number of Irish companies seeking the unique quality mark signifying they meet the highest standards of service and trust. It provides very important credible and transparent benchmarking that hasn’t been available up to now, allowing companies to very clearly understand where they are versus their competitors.”

The All-Ireland Business Foundation is a national body that accredits best-in-class Irish businesses as Business All-Stars. The accreditation is valid for two years, subject to a surveillance audit at the end of the first year. Comfort Keepers Ireland, which is owned by Sodexo, is already a Business All-Star and also attended the event.

Margot Slattery, country president, Sodexo Ireland, said “It’s our first time to apply for the Business All-Stars accreditation and we are delighted that our commitment to business excellence has been recognised and honoured by the All-Ireland Business Foundation. “

Sodexo is a leading provider of food and facilities management services to clients in business and industry, education, financial services, government services and healthcare in Ireland and Northern Ireland.  It employs approximately 3,700 people in 230 locations with a combined turnover of €141 million in 2018.
