Dalata Hotel Group Plc, the largest hotel operator in Ireland, with a growing presence in the United Kingdom and continental Europe, has created 32 new jobs with the official opening of its second Maldron Hotel in Manchester.

Maldron Hotel Manchester Cathedral Quarter is Dalata Hotel Group’s fourth hotel in the city, providing another epic basecamp for guests in the northern powerhouse. 

The Group also operates Clayton Hotels and is adding this new build hotel to a portfolio which includes Clayton Hotel Manchester Airport, Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre located on Portland Street and Maldron Hotel Manchester City Centre on Charles Street.

The 4-star Maldron Hotel Manchester Cathedral Quarter is the group’s 54th hotel and the first of four new Maldron Hotels set to open across the UK this summer. 

The new 188-bedroom hotel features the brand’s popular Grain & Grill restaurant, which serves a carefully chosen selection of favourite dishes, and a Red Bean Roastery coffee dock serving quality barista prepared coffee. The Chapel Street hotel also features two state-of-the art meeting rooms for business travellers.

Maldron Hotel Manchester Cathedral Quarter General Manager, Richard Dennell said the hotel is the perfect basecamp for enjoying both the vibrant Cathedral Quarter and all that Manchester has to offer.

The newly opened hotel has a contemporary ground floor lobby with convenient self-check-in pods, a spacious dining and bar area and a well-equipped fitness suite.

Maldron Hotel Manchester Cathedral Quarter also boasts comfortable and stylish rooms, including deluxe double bedrooms, all complete with rainfall showers, modern wooden floors, air-conditioning and USBC charge points.

As part of the Company’s ambitious UK growth strategy, Dalata Hotel Group will open three additional Maldron Hotels in prime locations across the UK this summer, including Shoreditch in South Central London, Brighton and Liverpool, bringing the Maldron brand to a total of eleven hotels in key cities across the UK.

The Maldron Hotel Manchester Cathedral Quarter has been designed with sustainability at its core. It has been accredited with a BREEAM Very Good rating; as well as meeting EPC A status, which is the most energy efficient rating a building can achieve.
