Conrad Dublin, one of the capital’s leading 5-star hotels, is celebrating International Women’s Day by championing the women behind some of the nation’s top hospitality, philanthropy, food and beverage production.

On the afternoon of March 8th, the city-centre hotel will host the ‘Embracing Equity – Women in Hospitality & Leadership’ panel. Moderated by Sunday Times journalist Jo Linehan, the panel will feature some of Ireland’s top women in hospitality, philanthropy,  food and beverage sharing in their experience of growing a career in their respective industries.

Anna Haugh, Owner & Chef of Myrtle and Executive Chef of Anna Haugh at Conrad Dublin will give valuable insight into her career as a highly successful woman in the culinary industry. Victoria Baird, Managing Director of Stillgarden Distillery will be on hand to share her experience of owning one of the nation’s newest and most creative distilleries. Imparting wisdom on the culinary arts will be Annette Sweeney, Senior Lecturer at TU Dublin. Finally, the Head of Employment at Down Syndrome Ireland, Aoife Gaffney, will provide insight into the importance of workplace inclusion and overcoming barriers to employment.

Along with what is set to be a highly insightful and energetic panel discussion, the floor will also be open to a Q&A with the audience, giving attendees an opportunity to engage in the discussion and take away guidance and inspiration in every path. Following this, there will be time for aspiring women to connect and bond in their shared interests in a networking event with canapes and beverages.

The first in what is set to become a series of networking events for women with budding careers in hospitality and leadership, this event is free to attend, with further information and link to registration HERE.

Conrad Dublin will continue their celebration of women in hospitality into the evening of March 8th with a wine and dinner event in Anna Haugh’s resident restaurant at the hotel.

Attendees can expect a five-course tasting menu created by Anna Haugh, with a wine pairing for each dish. In keeping with Anna’s widely acclaimed style, each dish serves as a celebration of the best Irish produce and suppliers; offering honest, uncomplicated dishes that evoke memories and tell the story of Ireland.

Hosted by O’Briens Wine Director Lynne Coyle MW, one of only 419 Masters of Wine globally, and maker of her own wines in Northern Spain. She has masterfully chosen each wine accompaniment from the O’Briens Wine catalogue, putting a spotlight on wine production and curation led by women. One such example of what can be expected is a Turbot dish paired with Geal Albarino produced by Lynne Coyle herself.

Priced at €150 per person, bookings can be secured by contacting [email protected]
