Bewley’s, Ireland’s leading coffee and tea company, has announced a partnership with plant-based and dairy-free category leader Alpro, offering new plant-based menu solutions for Bewley’s operators nationwide.
Ireland’s first bean-to-cup, plant-based coffee dock has been installed by Bewley’s in the N4 service station, MACE Ballinalack, and plans are in place to roll out plant-based stations across Bewley’s c-store operators over the next 12 months. The partnership, a collaboration between two category leaders, introduces a new innovation to the Irish coffee market.

A first to market plant-based coffee concept, Bewley’s Plant-Based Coffee provides a plant-based alternative for coffee drinkers, with all traditional milk-based coffees prepared using the Alpro Barista For Professionals range including, Oat Gluten Free, Coconut, Soya and Almond options. The new coffee-solution will ensure exceptional taste and quality, designed and crafted by Bewley’s baristas.

The Bewley’s Plant-Based Coffee offering was announced following the results of Bewley’s annual coffee report which revealed a significant increase in plant-based coffee consumption amongst consumers in Ireland. The report showed a substantial rise in consumers opting for plant-based drinks, with nearly a third confirming they have tried plant-based alternatives. Nearly two thirds (62%) of coffee drinkers believe it’s important for their local coffee provider to offer more than one choice of plant-based drink.
