The five-star Lough Erne Resort took home two gongs at this year’s Wedding Journal Reader Awards – Ireland’s Wedding Venue of the Year and Wedding Venue Co-Ordinators of the Year for their in-house wedding planning team (Laura Browne and Michelle McGarrity).

These accolades come after a significant investment in the resort’s wedding offering, which saw a £250,000 upgrade to The Ross Suite, overlooking Castle Hume Lough. The resort is popular for its one wedding a day policy and its award-winning chefs, headed by Noel McMeel.

“We pride ourselves on having the best team in the industry who work with each couple around the clock to ensure that each wedding is delivered to the dream brief of the individuals,” said Joanne Walsh, Business Development Manager at the resort. “We are incredibly fortunate to be situated in the stunning and picturesque Fermanagh Lakelands, which create a truly enchanting setting to host the perfect wedding.”

In celebration of their recent success, Lough Erne Resort will host a summer soirée open evening for couples on Wednesday August 1st from 5pm-9pm, which will give an opportunity to explore the resort’s surroundings and facilities. The hotel is also offering a special discount and a VIP Wedding Card to those who book their wedding on the evening, providing access to promotions from recommended wedding suppliers ranging from décor specialists to honeymoon experts.
