The g Hotel & Spa in Galway has been celebrating summer in style with its 2017 Floral Afternoon Tea. Served daily from 12pm to 6pm, afternoon tea at the g promises to infuse their customers’ days with colour and energy. Guests can indulge in delicate delights such as white chocolate hibiscus and pistachio brownie, saffron and vanilla verrine, macaroons, raspberry and lavender tartlets, and the miniature rosewater cupcakes. Their afternoon tea also includes a selection of savoury bites, from goat’s cheese on a beetroot and walnut muffin and smoked chicken on brioche, to Connemara smoked salmon with lemon and chive cream cheese or roast beef on rosemary flatbread. Afternoon Tea is served with a choice of tea or coffee and traditional favourites of freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserve. The Floral Afternoon Tea at the g Hotel may be enhanced with a glass of chilled Valdo Floral Rosé. In keeping with the designer roots of the g Hotel & Spa, the vibrantly decorated prosecco bottle was created by Italian fashion editor and reporter, Fabrizio Sclavi. “We delighted to collaborate once again with the wonderful world of fashion via the Italian winemakers Valdo and Febvre Wines,” says Triona Barrett, General Manager of the g Hotel & Spa. “They have created a truly beautiful bottle for their rosé brut Prosecco which in turn has inspired our chefs to create this colourful and delicious Floral Afternoon Tea.”
