UPCOMING DEADLINE:

Quality Assurance Accommodation Registration Renewal

Registration renewal process must be completed by 15th of November 2020

Registration fee has been reduced to €1.00

Fáilte Ireland is encouraging accommodation businesses to complete the registration renewal process for Quality Assurance before the deadline of midnight on Sunday the 15th of November 2020 to ensure their businesses maintain registration under the Tourist Traffic Acts 1939-2016 and Fáilte Ireland approval under the National Quality Assurance Framework (NQAF).

Accommodation businesses using any of the following prescribed terms under the Tourist Traffic Acts 1939-2016 must renew their registration:

Hotel
Youth Hostel
Holiday Hostel
Holiday Camp
Holiday Cottage
Holiday Apartment
Caravan and Camping Park
Guesthouse

Due to the impact of COVID-19 on the tourism and hospitality industry, the fee has been reduced to €1.00 (a nominal fee is required under the Tourist Traffic Acts 1939-2016).

The Quality Assurance Accommodation registration renewal process is quick and easy and can be completed through Fáilte Ireland’s trade portal up to midnight on Sunday the 15th of November 2020.

Businesses that do not renew their registration by the 15th November will be required to re-apply for approval, which may affect a number of licences required for the operation of their business. Those reapplying after the deadline will be required to provide necessary paperwork such as planning permission, updated building compliance and related documentation, which could involve an additional cost to the business.
