With six months to go until The Gold Medal Awards 2020, organisers are calling on Ireland’s finest hospitality and culinary businesses to put themselves forward for nomination. Now in their 32nd year, the Gold Medal Awards are recognised as the leading independent awards ceremony for the sector. The Gold Medal Awards will be presented at a black-tie gala dinner on September 22, 2020, in the Lyrath Estate, Kilkenny.

With over 450 entries received last year, there were 30 winners crowned in the various different categories. This year, Ireland’s Afternoon Tea Experience has been added to the list of categories, while other big winners on the night will include:

  • Ireland’s Five-Star Hotel
  • Ireland’s Country House / Guest House Experience 
  • Ireland’s City Hotel 
  • Ireland’s Front of House Team / Team Member
  • Ireland’s Chef of the Year

The Supreme Winner at last year’s Gold Medal Awards was The Armada Hotel in Co. Clare, while the award for Ireland’s Five-Star Hotel was won by The Intercontinental in Dublin. 

Judged by industry experts, the Gold Medal Awards pay recognition to hotels, restaurants, guests houses, spa and leisure facilities, event caterers, healthcare caterers and site caterers, as well as the individuals and teams that achieve the highest standards of product and service in the industry.All entries are site visited by the esteemed judging panel, and nominations can be made
