The Ivy Dawson Street – Artist’s impression.

World-famous London restaurant The Ivy is planning to cross the Irish Sea this summer, having recently announced it will open its first international brasserie in Dublin city centre.

The latest addition to the capital’s culinary landscape will be located at 13-17 Dawson Street and will be overseen by General Manager Jamie Belton and Head Chef Nick Lentini. The restaurant and bar will accommodate up to 200 guests with a broad menu offering breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and light snacks. Its cuisine will include classics such as shepherd’s pie and crispy duck salad, alongside a range of local-inspired dishes such as Dungarvan oysters and Dublin Bay prawns.

Given The Ivy’s reputation for glamour and style, it’s no surprise that the acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio consulted on the new restaurant’s interior. Features will include a striking onyx bar, pendant lighting, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, marble and polish parquet flooring and leather banquettes.

“Bringing The Ivy Collection’s first international brasserie to Dublin is without doubt the most exciting point of my career,” said Belton. “With fantastic food, beautiful interiors and consistent, friendly service, our Irish brasserie will offer a touch of glamour whilst also welcoming guests to visit us anytime, whatever the occasion. The team and I are really looking forward to welcoming our new neighbours and visitors to the area this summer.”
