It’s official – Eddie Rocket’s has one of the best burgers in Ireland. The restaurant chain took home the award for Best Burger in a National Fast Food Chain as part of National Burger Day last month.

“It’s no surprise to us that we have the best hamburgers in a national chain,” said Niall Fortune, founder of Eddie Rocket’s. “After all, we use only the Irish best beef and ingredients plus the attention to detail of our chefs. We serve more than six million customers a year across our 42 restaurants around the country so we have a lot of satisfied people who vote with their tastebuds every day.”

National Burger Day was sponsored by Kepak and supported by Coca-Cola, Heinz, Dubliner Cheese and Tour America. Almost 17,000 people cast their votes in a nationwide poll in June, which featured more than 500 food outlets across the country ranging from gourmet burger joints to hotels and pubs.
