The annual Airfield Festival of Food returns to Airfield Estate in Dundrum on September 8th and 9th.

Now in its fourth year, with over 15,000 people expected to descend over both days, the festival has been expanded to include a mindful and nature area, food demos, craft beers, a music stage, gardening zone (this year they’re looking for the hottest chilli) and much more.

This year’s event will also feature an extended food village with over 50 local producers – including Simons Fish, Corlegg Cheese and Cloonagh Smokin Soul – alongside family favourites such as egg collecting, cow milking, lawn games and action-adventure trails set across 38 acres.

“For those looking to entertain and educate their families, Airfield will have a Sustainable Systems area, which will promote Zero Waste, festival composting, Backwoods cooking and food foraging from Adventure.ie plus natural beauty and cosmetics from Mindful Beauty, Sligo interspersed with fun family-friendly games,” the festival says. “With all the planned free activities on offer, Airfield Festival of Food is primed to become an unmissable annual event on the Irish food festival calendar.”

The festival is free to enter and is supported by SuperValu and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. To view the full programme of events visit airfield.ie.
