A popular Swedish TV show, called Go’kväll, has been filming in the West of Ireland. The TV crew was here to record three separate episodes, capturing some of the unique experiences that their Swedish viewers can enjoy on holiday in Ireland. They’ve been visiting as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. Go’kväll is a daily lifestyle programme which airs on Sveriges Television, the national public broadcaster in Sweden, and each of the three episodes, set to air during autumn and winter 2018, will be seen by more than one million people. During their time in the West of Ireland, the crew captured footage at the Burren Smokehouse, the Cliffs of Moher and at Cnoc Suain in Spiddal. They also travelled to Inis Mór to film at Dún Aonghasa, met with Lisdoonvarna matchmaker Willie Daly, expert forager Oonagh O’Dwyer from Wild Kitchen in Lahinch, and music group The Whileaways, during a session at Campbell’s Tavern in Headford, Co Galway.
